Concise description of the directive:
In his speech at the First International Congress of Soviet Writers, Radek, a Trotskyist agent, tried to conceal the fact that Soviet literature continued to have a strong influence on Western literature and that proletarian literature in the West had expanded after the socialist revolution in Russia. Unfortunately, many of our critics and writers feel admiration for the works of bourgeois culture; in fact, the names of Proust or Joyce still fascinate them to no end.
