Dramaturgy is one of the central issues of the Writers’ Congress to be held in September. The literary journals unfortunately do not pay enough attention to such an important issue as the appropriation of the classical heritage in the field of drama, as well as the critical appropriation of classical subjects by Soviet dramatists. We must raise the level of our criticism within the drama; publishing houses must stimulate the work of critics.
