The only difference between literature and science is that experience is expressed through concrete, visible images and not through logical categories or concepts. This is the cause of the enormous transformative effect that art has on human consciousness and sensibility. Therefore, literature will only make an important contribution to the education of the new Soviet hero, representative of the popular masses, if it provides a description of the deep laws of reality, rather than a superficial naturalistic picture.
