We are celebrating the memory of Aleksandr Sergeyevich Pushkin. Shakespeare in England, Goethe in Germany and Pushkin in Russia are the only ones of their kind, unsurpassed and incomparable. However, Pushkin is far superior even to foreign writers – just compare one of his texts to a text by Goethe. By creating this festival of Pushkin, we are creating a festival of culture and friendship of peoples, while fascism is advancing with the fight against labour and culture in the name of capitalism. Only the Red Army, whose soldiers are more interested in Pushkin than the bourgeois intellectuals of the past, can save us.
